Maldives in 14 sunsets

This winter I decided to do something different and totally new for me: leave cold Europe and head for a warm adventure. My Christmas and New Year destination were the alluring tropical Maldives. For 2 weeks I volunteered in a marine conservation program in the heart of the ocean with the wonderful people from Atoll Marine Centre. Most of my journey was based on the local island called Naifaru where the Marine Center was located. It is situated in the Lhaviyani Atoll only 3 hours away by speed boat from the capital Malé. Besides the turtles,one of the best memories in those islands are the breath taking and spectacular sunsets you get to see every evening. I will say no more and let the pictures talk for themselves.
